San Fedele's church is situated in the centre of MIlan, between Palazzo Marino, Teatro alla Scala and Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II.
The church was built by Pellegrino Tibaldi in the 1559 . It is dedicated to San Fedele.
Inside it has a unique nave and there are many columns made of granite which are very high.
On the left of the Altare Maggiore there is a gravestone of bronze that reminds the point where Alessandro Manzoni went to pray.
He died because he fell and hit his head against a balustrade.
For this reason in the square of the church there is a statue in his memory.
